Legal

Terms of trade

The short version: you see the price before you pay, you get six months of revisions, you keep the files we deliver, Forever is a yearly subscription you choose each year, the map is not a legal survey, and what we can be liable for is limited. The longer version follows.

This is version 2026-10-11, published on 11 October 2026. We keep it so you can see what applied if you ordered while it was current, until version 2026-10-13 replaced it on 13 October 2026. Read the current version.

Please read clauses 4, 10 and 12 before you order. They say what our maps can and cannot be used for, how far you can rely on imagery and public data, and how our liability is limited. If anything here matters to a decision you are making, ask us before you order.

Version 2026-10-11. Earlier versions: version 2026-10-10.2 and version 2026-10-10, both published on 10 October 2026, and the 3 October 2026 version.

What changed on 11 October 2026:

In this version, 2026-10-11, against version 2026-10-10.2:

  • Clause 0: these terms also apply to anything new an earlier customer accepts, including the refresh and free portal access under schedule B. Business services are agreed in a written engagement for each job.
  • Clause 1: what one standard property is. Blocks managed separately are separate orders. A property that is materially different from what we were told is re-quoted.
  • Clause 2: you are responsible for the information you give us. If a first draft is more than 10 working days late through our fault, you may cancel for a full refund, and for a customer in trade that is our only liability for lateness.
  • Clause 4: more detail on what our maps are not for. Areas are approximate, with no tolerance unless your order states one. Sale material must describe areas and boundaries as indicative. Our maps are prepared for you, not for others who see them.
  • Clause 6: a first year can be up to a month longer than twelve months, at no extra cost. A year paid for before your online map is ready can be cancelled for a full refund before it starts.
  • Clause 9: we keep copies of delivered work for our records and to answer questions or claims. An email agreeing to the final wording counts as written permission to use your property as an example. Keep the data attribution on maps you share.
  • Clause 10: imagery date, and what cannot be seen from above. We are not responsible for errors in source data we could not reasonably have found.
  • Clause 11: for customers in trade, the listed sections of the Fair Trading Act 1986 do not apply, as well as the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. Consumers' rights are unchanged.
  • Clause 12: rewritten. For customers in trade, liability is limited to the price of the order concerned (for Forever, the fees paid in the 12 months before), with no liability for indirect or consequential loss, a first step of putting defective work right, a 12-month time limit for claims, and a limited promise to cover claims by other people about material you gave us. The NZ$1,000 minimum is gone.
  • Clause 13: examples of events outside our control, and we are not liable for the delay or failure they cause.
  • Clause 16: a new version of these terms applies only to what you accept after it is published.
  • Clause 18: the New Zealand courts and tribunals decide disputes, except where Australian law gives an Australian customer another forum.
  • New clause 19: whole agreement, part unenforceable, not enforcing a right, transfer, suppliers, notices, and which clauses last.
  • Schedule A: applies once the portal opens to you. A credit or refund for a long outage of the online map. The portal is not a backup service.
  • Schedule B: the free period starts when we email you that your access is ready, and runs to the later of 31 December 2026 and 90 days after that email. The refresh is defined, and is asked for within 12 months. The download period after the free period, and how schedule B is accepted, are clearer.

What changed on 10 October 2026:

In version 2026-10-10.2:

  • Clauses 5 and 6: Baseline Forever for a farm is $890 a year, available once we have mapped the farm with Baseline or Baseline Plus. There is no longer a first Forever year that includes the mapping and is paid with the mapping order. The mapping is its own order.
  • Clause 6: the first paid Forever year starts on the day your online map is first ready for you to use or the day you pay for it, whichever is later. A year never starts before it is paid for.

Earlier the same day, in version 2026-10-10, against the 3 October 2026 version:

  • Clause 3: for Baseline Forever, update hours only come off after the six-month revision window has closed. Worked examples added.
  • Clause 5: says where each Forever year is paid.
  • Clause 6: Baseline Forever is not yet open for sign-up. The first paid year starts when the online map is first ready for you to use. The online map is defined. Free portal access under schedule B is not a paid year.
  • Clause 6: a Forever year runs from the day the online map is first ready for you to use to the 1st of the month after a full year has passed (to the 1st of the same month a year later, if it starts on the 1st).

0. Who these terms are between, and how an order is made

These are the terms of trade of Baseline Mapping Limited, NZBN 9429052484322, company number 9295753, GST number 144-420-233, of Palmerston North, New Zealand, referred to below as we or us.

Our agreement is with the customer named in your order. That may be a person, a company, a trust, a club or another organisation. If you accept an order for an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to do so.

An enquiry does not commit you to anything. Before you order, we tell you the scope, the price with GST shown, and the week your job is booked for. The agreement is made when you accept that order in the way it describes, and we keep a record of the order you accepted.

If something agreed in writing for your order differs from these terms, that agreement wins. Next comes your order and the package it names, then these terms. The version of these terms that applies is the one published here when you accept your order. We will not change it for an order you have already accepted.

If we did work for you before this version was published, the terms agreed for that work still apply to it. This version applies to anything new you accept from us after it is published, including a refresh or free portal access under schedule B.

These terms cover our mapping services, Baseline Forever and the customer portal. Our IT, bookkeeping, payroll, GST return and media services are agreed in a written engagement for each job, which sets out the scope and price. Unless that engagement says otherwise, clauses 0, 5, 11, 12, 13, 15 and 17 to 19 also apply to that work, and for it the limit in clause 12 is the fees you paid us for that service in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim.

1. Scope

Your order identifies the property or course, what we will deliver, the file formats, and any yearly service such as Baseline Forever. Anything not in it is not included. If you need something extra, we quote it and you agree it before we start, never after. Later changes to the package descriptions on this website do not change an order you have already accepted.

A package is priced for one standard property. A standard single property is one farm, or one block, that you manage as a single operation, however many land titles it covers. Blocks that you manage separately are separate jobs, each at the full published price. Each golf course is priced separately. If the property turns out to be materially different from what we were told when we quoted, we tell you before doing more work and agree any change in price with you. If we cannot agree, either of us may cancel the order, and we refund what you paid less the reasonable value of the work already done.

2. How the work is produced and delivered

We map remotely, in our office, from aerial imagery, Land Information New Zealand records and the information you give us. For a property outside New Zealand we use the local sources we identify for your job. We do not visit the property, and we do not undertake field survey or GPS capture unless we agree that separately. The accuracy of the finished map depends on the imagery available for your area and on the corrections you give us.

You are responsible for the information and material you give us, such as boundaries, fence positions, paddock names, existing maps, and asset, irrigation or drainage records, and for having the right to give it to us. We rely on it as given and do not check it independently unless your order says we will, though we tell you if something looks wrong to us. If another person or company made an earlier map you send us, make sure you are free to pass it on.

Your first draft will be with you within ten working days of payment, and we tell you which week your job is booked for before you pay. The ten working days run from the day we receive your payment. Working days exclude weekends and New Zealand public holidays. If missing information or anything else will affect that date, we tell you promptly and agree any change with you. The time for corrections after the first draft is separate: see clause 3.

If your first draft is more than 10 working days late through our fault, counted from the day it was due under this clause or any later day we agreed with you, you may cancel the order and we refund it in full. For a customer in trade, that refund, or our finishing the work, is our only liability for late delivery.

3. Revisions and Forever map updates

Every mapping package includes revisions within the agreed scope, requested within six months of the date we deliver the first draft. Revisions asked for after that are quoted first.

A revision means correcting or adding detail within the agreed scope. It does not mean adding land, new analysis, a redesign, or deliverables from a higher package. Those are quoted before any work starts. The six months does not limit what we must do if our work is defective.

Each paid Baseline Forever year includes three hours of agreed map updates. We estimate the time first, and time comes off your allowance only once you agree the estimate. An included update comes back within 10 working days of you agreeing it. We tell you before the allowance runs out, and quote anything beyond it before we start. Fixing our own mistakes never uses your allowance.

For Baseline Forever, the six-month revision window comes first. Revisions within the agreed scope during that window never use your update hours. Hours come off your allowance only for updates after the window has closed, and only once you agree the estimate.

Unused hours carry into your next paid year only, and carried hours are used first. New imagery does not by itself entitle you to a full re-map.

Some examples of how a request is treated. They are examples only:

  • A revision. You tell us a paddock is named wrongly, or that a fence we could not see under a shelter belt is there. Within six months of your first draft we correct it as part of the job.
  • Our mistake. We missed a fence that was clearly visible in the imagery. We fix it at no charge if you tell us within a reasonable time, and it never uses your update hours. Your legal rights are unaffected.
  • A Forever update. Seven months after your first draft you split a paddock. We estimate the time, you agree it, and only then does it come off your update hours.
  • New work. You buy the block next door and want it mapped, or you want new terrain analysis. Neither is a revision or an update, so we quote it before any work starts.

The examples show how this clause works. They do not add to it or change it.

4. What our maps are, and are not, for

Our maps are for the farm and course operation and planning purposes described in your order. They are made remotely from imagery and records, not measured on the ground.

Fencelines, mapped areas and title information are indicative. They depend on the date and resolution of the imagery, our assumptions and the information available. A fence does not necessarily mark a legal boundary. Title boundaries we show come from LINZ records and are indicative only.

Areas are approximate. Unless your order states an accuracy or a tolerance, we do not promise one. Before you rely on a mapped area or position for a decision where a small difference costs a lot, such as a sale or lease price, a contract priced per hectare, or work near a boundary, check it in a way that suits the decision, and tell us if anything looks wrong.

Our maps are not a cadastral survey, an engineering survey or a certified plan. Do not use them to establish legal boundaries, title, ownership, encroachments or easements, for subdivision, or as the only basis for placing a fence, building or other structure near a boundary. Do not use them as the basis for a resource consent, a building consent, engineering or drainage design, earthworks, or a certificate or statement of compliance. For those, engage a licensed cadastral surveyor or the right professional. A utility, irrigation or drainage layer on a map shows the records it was drawn from. It does not show where buried services actually are or whether it is safe to dig.

A map can support a farm plan, a nutrient budget, the work of your bank or consultant, or a sale. The person who prepares, certifies or relies on that document decides whether the map is suitable for it. If you use our maps in sale, listing or marketing material, describe the boundaries and areas as indicative and subject to title and survey, as our sale sheets do. You are responsible for what that material says.

We prepare our maps for you. We owe no duty to anyone else who sees or relies on them, such as a buyer, lender, consultant, agent, neighbour or contractor, unless we agree that in writing. If you want someone else to rely on a map, ask us first.

None of this changes our duty to use reasonable care and skill in the work we agree to do.

5. Prices and payment

Prices are in New Zealand dollars and exclude GST unless we say otherwise. Your order shows the GST and the total before you accept it. For a customer outside New Zealand, your order shows whether GST applies.

Standard orders are paid in full before work begins. Each Baseline Forever year, including the first, is paid as clause 6 describes. Any other payment arrangement must be agreed in writing for your order, and an invoice states its due date.

If an agreed invoice is not paid by its due date, we tell you first. We may then pause work and hold back anything not yet delivered. If you dispute an invoice in good faith, tell us and we will work through it with you before taking any further step. We may recover reasonable costs we actually incur in collecting an overdue amount, as far as the law allows. We do not charge default interest.

6. Baseline Forever is a yearly subscription

Baseline Forever is a yearly subscription. It is not a lifetime service. The name means your maps are kept hosted and current for as long as you choose to keep subscribing.

Baseline Forever is not yet open for sign-up. Clauses 3 (Forever updates), 6 and 8 apply once it opens. In these terms the online map (the interactive online map) means the private interactive map of your property in our customer portal, which you open and use in a browser on a phone, tablet or computer. For a golf course it means the hosted course map and tables. We are building it, and a paid year does not start until it is ready for you to use.

For a farm, Forever is $890 a year, available once we have mapped the farm with Baseline or Baseline Plus. The mapping is ordered and paid for separately, under clause 5, and is not part of a Forever year. For a golf course, Forever is $890 a year, or $445 a year at our community rate for a qualifying volunteer-run club.

Each year is paid upfront, one year at a time, and is accepted and paid for by the property's Manager in our customer portal (see schedule A). Your first paid year starts on the day your online map is first ready for you to use or the day you pay for it, whichever is later, and runs until the 1st of the month after a full year has passed. If that day is the 1st of a month, it runs to the 1st of the same month a year later. For example, if your map is ready to use from 15 March 2027 and you pay that day, your first year runs to 1 April 2028. That can make a first year up to a month longer than twelve months, at no extra cost. Time spent on mapping and approval before then does not count towards that year. A later year starts on the day it is paid, or on the day your current paid year ends if that is later, and runs for twelve months.

If you ever pay for a Forever year before your online map is ready, the year does not start until it is, and you may cancel it for a full refund at any time before it starts.

Free view-only portal access under schedule B is not a paid year. Your first paid year starts only when you take up Forever, on the day your online map is first ready for you to use or the day you take it up, whichever is later.

Nothing renews by itself, and we never charge a stored card. We send a renewal notice at least 30 days before your year ends, with the price of the next year and what happens if you do not take it. If you do nothing, your year simply ends: see clause 8. The price of a new year is the one shown when you accept it. A price never changes during a year you have paid for.

7. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel a mapping order before we deliver the first draft and receive a full refund. Once the first draft has been delivered the fee is payable in full, because the mapping work is substantially done at that point. The six months of revisions in clause 3 still applies.

Because Baseline Forever never renews by itself, you do not need to cancel it. Simply do not take another year. There is no exit fee. A year you have paid for runs to its end.

Nothing in this clause reduces your rights if our work is defective, if we break these terms, or if the law gives you a right to cancel, a refund or compensation.

8. When a Forever year ends

You keep every file we have delivered to you. When a Forever year ends and no new year follows, you receive a secure link to a ZIP of your approved delivered files, which stays open for 30 days. The online map, online downloads and updates stop while the subscription is inactive, and taking a new year restores them.

Hosted files move to archive after 24 months without an active subscription. They are not deleted, and we restore archived files on request at no charge within 5 working days.

9. Who owns what

You keep your rights in anything you give us. When we deliver, we transfer to you the copyright we own in the final maps and mapped data made for your order, to the extent you do not already own it. That does not include our own pre-existing material or material belonging to others.

What stays ours is how we make the maps: our templates, styles, scripts, project setups, checking recipes and internal tooling. Where any of that is built into your delivered maps, you may keep using, copying, changing and sharing those maps for your own purposes, including with another provider. Third-party material stays under its own licence and attribution terms, so keep the attribution on a map when you share or publish it. Ending a subscription never takes away rights you already have in delivered maps.

You let us host, copy and process your material only as reasonably needed to provide, support and secure the service and to keep the records the law requires. We may also keep copies of the work we deliver, and of what you gave us for it, for our records, to support you, and to answer a question or claim about the work. We keep them confidential under clause 15.

We will not publish your maps or name your property as an example without your written permission. An email in which you agree to the final wording, image or map we will publish counts as written permission.

10. Third-party data and imagery

Maps incorporate imagery and data from Land Information New Zealand and other providers under their licences, principally CC BY 4.0, and attribution is carried on the map sheets. We do not survey or guarantee the original source data. We are responsible for using reasonable care and skill in choosing, interpreting and applying it, and for telling you about material limits we know of. If you find an error, tell us and we will look into it and put right what our agreement or the law requires.

Each map states the capture date of the imagery it was built from. Anything that has changed since then, or that cannot be seen from above, such as a fence under trees, may be missing or out of date until you tell us. We are not responsible for errors in source data that we could not reasonably have found using reasonable care and skill.

11. Your legal rights

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits a right or remedy that the law does not allow to be excluded or limited. That includes your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the Fair Trading Act 1986 and, for an Australian customer, the Australian Consumer Law.

For a supply in New Zealand, where both of us are in trade, you acquire our services in trade, and it is fair and reasonable to do so, we agree that the Consumer Guarantees Act does not apply to that supply, and that sections 9, 12A, 13 and 14(1) of the Fair Trading Act do not apply to it either. In every other case, including when you buy as a consumer for personal or household use, your rights under those Acts are unaffected. This New Zealand business agreement does not remove any right under Australian law.

12. Liability

We will do the work with reasonable care and skill. This clause applies only as far as the law allows. It never limits our liability for fraud or wilful misconduct, a consumer's rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act, or any other liability the law does not allow to be limited.

If our work is defective, tell us. We correct it at no charge within a reasonable time or, if we cannot, refund what you paid for the defective part. For a customer in trade, that is our only liability for defective work, unless we fail to do either within a reasonable time after you tell us.

For a customer in trade, our total liability for all claims connected with an order, whether in contract, negligence or otherwise, is limited to the price you paid for that order. For Baseline Forever and the customer portal, it is limited to the Forever fees you paid in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim. For something we provide free, such as access or a refresh under schedule B, it is limited to the price you paid for the mapping order it relates to. For a customer who is not in trade, these limits apply only as far as the law allows.

For a customer in trade, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, production, stock, crops or pasture, for business interruption, or for loss of data beyond restoring it from our most recent reasonable backup.

Our responsibility for a loss is reduced to the extent it was caused by your materially inaccurate instructions or information, by changes someone other than us made to delivered work, or by using a map for a purpose clause 4 rules out. That does not remove our responsibility for failing to use reasonable care and skill.

A customer in trade must tell us about a claim in writing within 12 months of becoming aware, or when they ought reasonably to have become aware, of the facts that give rise to it. We are not liable for a claim we are not told about within that time.

If you are in trade and someone else makes a claim against us, you cover our reasonable costs and losses from it to the extent it arises from material you gave us that you were not entitled to give, or from your using or sharing a map for a purpose clause 4 rules out. This does not apply to the extent we caused the claim. We tell you promptly about such a claim and do not settle it without first talking to you.

13. Delays outside our control

If something outside our reasonable control, which we could not reasonably have prevented or worked around, stops us performing, we tell you promptly, explain the effect and take reasonable steps to reduce the delay. Examples are severe weather, flood, earthquake, fire, an epidemic, an action of a government or regulator, and a failure of the internet, the power supply or a supplier's systems. While it lasts, we are not liable for the delay or failure it causes. This does not excuse failures in our own planning, maintenance, security or backups.

If the delay lasts more than 20 working days, or defeats an essential date agreed in your order, you may cancel the services not yet performed and we refund what you paid for them. Your other rights remain.

14. Capacity

We accept a limited number of mapping jobs each month. Where we are at capacity we tell you the next available start date before taking any payment. If our capacity changes after you have ordered, we tell you and agree any new date with you. If we cannot do the work, we refund what you paid for the part we cannot provide.

15. Privacy and confidentiality

Our privacy page explains how we handle personal information, and we comply with the privacy law that applies. Each of us will protect the other's non-public business information and use it only for the agreed service or another lawful purpose we agree. We may share it with suppliers who need it to provide the service and keep it confidential, or where the law requires. Sharing you set up through the customer portal is covered by schedule A.

16. Changes to these terms and our services

We may publish a new version of these terms here. It applies to orders and Forever years you accept after it is published, not to ones you have already accepted, except as this clause allows.

We do not change the scope or price of an accepted order without your agreement. The price of a new Forever year is covered by clause 6.

We give at least 30 days' notice of any other material change to the Forever service, explaining why and when it takes effect. If a change materially disadvantages you during a year you have paid for, you may stop before it takes effect and we refund the unused part of that year. A change urgently needed to comply with the law or protect security is limited to what is needed, with as much notice as we can give. No change takes away rights you already have or authorises a charge you have not agreed to.

17. If something goes wrong between us

Tell us first. Most problems are a misunderstanding about scope and are sorted out in a phone call. We may both agree to try mediation, including its timing and cost. Nothing requires mediation before either of us goes to a regulator, the Privacy Commissioner, the Disputes Tribunal or another court or tribunal, seeks an urgent order, or takes a step needed to protect a legal right.

18. Law

New Zealand law governs these terms, subject to any law that applies to the supply and cannot be excluded. The courts and tribunals of New Zealand decide any dispute about them. An Australian customer may also use any Australian court or tribunal available under the law that applies to them.

19. General

The whole agreement. Your order, anything agreed in writing for it, and these terms are the whole agreement about that order. They replace earlier discussions and statements about it. If something we said before you ordered matters to you, make sure it is in your order. This does not stop a court from considering an earlier statement where the law allows it to.

If part cannot be enforced. That part is read down as far as needed to make it enforceable or, if that is not possible, left out. The rest still applies.

Not enforcing a right. If either of us does not enforce a right straight away, that does not give it up.

Transfer. You may transfer an order or a Forever subscription to someone else, such as a buyer of the property, with our agreement, which we will not unreasonably refuse. We may transfer our rights and duties under these terms to a business that takes over our mapping services, if we tell you and your rights are not reduced.

Suppliers. We may use suppliers and contractors to help provide the service. We remain responsible to you for their work as if it were ours.

Notices. Notices under these terms may be given by email. Ours go to the email address in your order or your portal account. Send yours to office@baselinemapping.co.nz.

Clauses that last. Clauses 4, 9 to 12, 15, 18 and 19 continue after an order is finished or a subscription ends.

Schedule A. The customer portal

When this applies. The customer portal is being built and is not yet open to customers. This schedule applies to you from when the portal opens to you.

Signing in. You sign in with a link we email you. There is no password. The link works once, expires shortly, and only in the browser that asked for it. Because your email account is the key, keep it secure, use your own access rather than someone else's, and tell us straight away if you think someone has misused it.

People and roles. Each property has its own list of people, each with a role:

  • A Manager is the customer's main contact for the property. A Manager invites people as Editors or Viewers, withdraws invitations, moves people between Editor and Viewer, removes people the customer side added, accepts and pays for orders and Forever years, and makes share links.
  • An Editor will be able to change map details and notes once the portal offers that. Until then an Editor can do what a Viewer can.
  • A Viewer can see the property's maps, downloads, orders and tax invoices, as everyone with access can.

Only we can make someone a Manager, change a Manager's access, or end access we gave. Keep your list of people current when staff or club officers change. We may ask for reasonable evidence of authority before changing who a property's Manager is.

Share links. We may offer read-only share links. If we do, a Manager can make a link that lasts between 1 and 90 days and choose whether it includes PDFs. Anyone who has the link can open it, including a person it is forwarded to, until it expires or is withdrawn. A Manager or we can withdraw a link at any time, and it ends by itself if its maker stops being a Manager or the property moves to another customer. Each time a link is opened we record when, whether a PDF was opened, and the country the visit came from, and Managers can see those opens. Withdrawing a link cannot recall copies already downloaded. Check what a link shows, and who you are sending it to, before you share it.

What you put in the portal. Only upload or share material you are entitled to provide. If it identifies other people, meet your own privacy duties to them. This does not reduce our own duties under privacy law. Do not try to reach another customer's information, get around access controls, upload unlawful material or interfere with the service. The portal is not a backup service: keep your own copies of your delivered files and of anything you upload.

What we do. We use reasonable care and skill to run the portal, keep reasonable safeguards on access and customer information, and look into any access or data problem you report. We look at your material only when reasonably needed for support, security or delivering the service, and never use it for unrelated marketing or publication without your permission.

Availability and support. The portal may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or an unexpected fault. We give reasonable notice of planned downtime where we can, and take reasonable steps to restore service. For help, email office@baselinemapping.co.nz or ring 022 693 9101. We do not promise a particular uptime or response time unless your order says so. That does not remove our duty of reasonable care or your rights under clause 11.

If the online map is unavailable through our fault for more than 5 working days in a row during a paid Forever year, you may ask for a credit or refund of the Forever fee for the days it was unavailable. For a customer in trade, that credit or refund is our only liability for the portal being unavailable. Your delivered files stay yours to use whether or not the portal is available.

Restricting access. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to deal with a material breach of these terms, a security threat or unlawful use. Where we can, we explain why first and give you a reasonable chance to put it right. Any urgent restriction is limited to what is needed, and lifted when the reason is resolved. We will not use a genuine billing dispute to stop you getting delivered files you are entitled to keep.

If we close the portal. If we ever stop offering the portal, we give at least 60 days' notice where reasonably possible, a practical way to download your files, and a refund for any prepaid service we will not provide. Rights you already have stay.

Schedule B. Free portal access for existing customers

Who it is for. Customers whose maps we delivered before 3 October 2026.

What you get. Free, view-only access in our customer portal to the maps we have delivered to you. The portal is not open yet, and we do not have an opening date. The free period starts on the day we email you that your access is ready. It ends at the end of 31 December 2026 or 90 days after that email, whichever is later, New Zealand time. Map-update hours are not included during the free period. Tell us what would make the portal more useful: we welcome suggestions for improvements and features, and they decide what we build next.

A thank-you refresh. Separately, as thanks, every customer whose maps we delivered before 3 October 2026 can have a one-off free refresh of those maps. A refresh brings your existing maps up to date for changes on the same land, such as a new fence, a split paddock, a renamed block, or new tracks or plantings, within the scope of your original package. It does not include adding land, new kinds of map or a full re-map, which we quote first. We agree its scope with you by email before we start. Ask for it within 12 months of the day we first email you about it.

Nothing is charged. The free period costs nothing and does not turn into a paid subscription. We will not charge a card or payment method held from an earlier purchase. You only pay if you separately choose, accept and pay for a Forever year under clause 6.

Before it ends. We email you at least 30 days before the free period ends, saying what happens next and what Forever would cost if you want it.

If you do not join. You keep every map file already delivered to you. When the free period ends you can no longer view the maps in the portal. For at least 30 days after that, you can still download your delivered files, through the portal or through a link we email you.

Your earlier rights. The free period does not replace or reduce any right you have from an earlier purchase, including ownership of delivered maps and data, any revision period, and any hosting or archive we have already agreed with you.

The rest of these terms. Schedule A, our privacy page and clauses 0, 4 and 9 to 19 apply during the free period and to the refresh, including the limit in clause 12. You accept them when you first sign in to the portal or ask for the refresh. You may stop using the portal at any time.
