Not sure which?

Three questions.

Answer these and we will point you at the package that fits. Nothing gets sent anywhere — this runs in your browser.

Do you need effective grazing area, or is gross area enough?
Does the farm change much — new fences, split paddocks, blocks in and out?
Does anyone besides you need to see the map?

Farm Plan Data Pack — $550

The mapped base your consultant builds a farm plan on, agreed with them and built once.

It does not make you compliant, and we do not certify anyone. We map and describe the land units and the features, and record where every layer came from. The risk assessment, the critical source areas and the setback calls stay with your advisor or certifier, because that is their professional judgement, not ours.

What is in it

Why fixed price

You should know what it costs before you ring anyone.

Most mapping is quoted per hour or per hectare, which means you cannot compare two providers without spending a week getting quotes, and the final invoice is a surprise.

We price per outcome instead. We check the property and the imagery before you pay, so the price we confirm is the price you pay. If a farm needs more than a standard package covers, you hear that before you pay, not on the invoice.

The one thing we will not do is discount. If the price does not fit, we will take something out of the scope and tell you exactly what we removed. In a country this small, a quiet discount to one farmer reprices the whole list by Friday.

Capacity

Open — taking new farms now

Every map is built by a founder, so we confirm your start date before you pay. When we are booked up we say so rather than take your money and go quiet.

Questions about price.

What does a farm map cost in New Zealand?

Ours are published prices for a standard single property: $750 for Baseline, $1,250 for Baseline Plus with effective paddock areas, and $2,450 for the first year of Baseline Forever, then $890 a year while subscribed. All prices exclude GST. If a property is unusually large, spread across several titles or needs a lot of preparation, we give you a fixed quote before you pay. There are no travel charges.

Does the price change with the size of the farm?

Not for a standard property. Each package has one published price for a single property with a clear boundary. If the farm is unusually large, spread across several titles or blocks, or needs a lot of source preparation, we give you a fixed quote before you pay — never a surprise afterwards.

Are there travel charges?

No. Every job is built in-office from aerial imagery and the records you supply, so there is nothing to travel to.

What about GST?

Every price on this site excludes GST. Baseline Mapping is GST registered, so GST is added on the invoice and you claim it back if you are registered too, which most farming businesses are.

When do I pay?

All standard orders, including Baseline Forever, are paid in full before work begins. We check the property boundary and imagery first, so you are not paying for something we cannot deliver. Any other arrangement has to be agreed in writing for your order.

What if I need more revisions after six months?

We quote them before starting, and they are usually small. Baseline Forever includes three hours of map updates each subscription year, with anything larger quoted first.
