How do you keep a course map current?
For six months after your first draft, corrections within the agreed scope are revisions: part of the job. After that, Forever for a golf course will keep a hosted course map and current tables, with three hours of updates each year, for $890 a year per course plus GST. Forever is enquiry only for now, while the hosted map is built. Without it, a change is quoted before we start.

Revisions come first
Every Course Map includes revisions within the agreed scope, asked for within six months of the date we deliver the first draft. A tee you built after the imagery was taken, a bunker we drew in the wrong place, a zone boundary your staff mow differently: tell us in those six months and we correct it as part of the job.
Revision, update or new work
Every change after the first draft is one of four kinds. Clause 3 of our terms has the full wording.
- A revision. You tell us a bunker was grassed over last winter, or that a collar is wider than we drew it. Within six months of your first draft we correct it as part of the job.
- Our mistake. We missed a bunker that was clearly visible in the imagery. We fix it at no charge if you tell us within a reasonable time, and it never uses your update hours. Your legal rights are unaffected.
- A Forever update. Seven months after your first draft you build a new tee. We estimate the time, you agree it, and only then does it come off your update hours.
- New work. You want ground outside the agreed boundary mapped, or new terrain analysis. Neither is a revision or an update, so we quote it before any work starts.
Forever for a golf course
Forever is a yearly subscription for a course we have mapped. It is $890 a year per course, excluding GST, or $445 a year at the community rate for a volunteer-run club with no full-time paid staff. A club with two courses takes two. It will include:
- A hosted course map and current tables, which are being built.
- Three hours of agreed map updates in each paid year.
Forever for a golf course is enquiry only for now. The hosted course map and tables are being built, and Forever opens for sign-up when they are ready. Talk to us and we will tell you where it is up to.
How update hours work
- You tell us what has changed. We estimate the time first, and hours come off your allowance only once you agree the estimate.
- The six-month revision window comes first: revisions in that window never use your hours.
- Fixing our own mistakes never uses your hours.
- Unused hours carry into your next paid year only, and carried hours are used first.
- Anything beyond your hours, or beyond the scope your course was mapped to, is quoted before we start.
- New imagery for your area does not by itself mean a full re-map. We look at it with you and agree any larger update.
What changes on a course, and when to tell us
The changes that move a course map are the ones the staff make: new or rebuilt tees, reshaped greens and surrounds, bunkers added, removed or grassed over, a new path, a new drainage line or an irrigation repair with a new as-built, and changes to how you divide the course for mowing. Sending them as they happen, with a photo of a marked-up sheet, keeps each update small.
Years and renewal
Each year is paid upfront, one year at a time. Nothing renews by itself, and we never charge a stored card: we send a renewal notice at least 30 days before your year ends, and you choose whether to take the next one. A price never changes during a year you have paid for.
What you keep
You keep every file we have delivered to you. When a Forever year ends and no new year follows, you receive a secure link to a ZIP of your approved delivered files, open for 30 days. The online map, online downloads and updates stop while the subscription is inactive, and taking a new year restores them. After 24 months without an active subscription, hosted files move to archive. They are not deleted.
Without Forever
You do not need Forever to keep a map current. After the six months, tell us what has changed and we quote the update before any work starts. Your files are yours either way.
